Conformal Coating
Subtronics Assembly
Corporation, offers
Conformal Coating to protect your
electronic printed circuit boards from moisture and contaminants,
preventing short circuits and corrosion of conductors and solder joints.
Coating also minimize dendritic growth and the electromigration of metal
between conductors. In addition, the use of conformal coatings
protects circuits and components from abrasion and solvents.
Stress relief is also provided, as well as protection of the insulation
resistance of the circuit board.
Subtronics offers our customers who
require conformal coating an economical operation using an automated
process on our PVA2000. We utilize a Humiseal 1C49 material,
which provides the best protection from corrosive chemicals to humid
environment protection. Humiseal 1C49 material
also helps protect the electrical integrity of the assemblies from
vibration.
PVA2000
Subtronics
offers a clean, efficient process for applying conformal coatings while
virtually eliminating labor-intensive masking operations by using the
PVA2000.
Utilizing a controlled atomized spray and a non-atomized flow coating
process,
the PVA limits to a
defined, preprogrammed coverage area. Film builds as low
as .01 mm can be achieved across the desired surface. The PVA
selective
coating process results in greater material utilization with transfer
efficiency of
99%, a significant increase over dip, brush or hand spray.
